We use a lightjet 430 photographic laser printer to expose light sensitive ilford silver gelatin paper then process. Solid sterling silver made of 92 5 pure silver and 7 5 of another metal usually copper. The gelatin silver process is the most commonly used chemical process in black and white photography and is the fundamental chemical process for modern analog color photography as such films and printing papers available for analog photography rarely rely on any other chemical process to record an image. For our silver 3d prints we use a lost wax casting technique where the original wax model is first printed using our 3d printers.

A suspension of silver salts in gelatin is coated onto a support such as glass flexible. From there a mold is made around the wax before it is melted and filled with silver creating your object.
